Most blogger start out with hosted blog platforms because they are easy to use and are often free. They are a variety of different places on the Internet that offer a blog hosting services. Some of the most popular ones include blogger.com,wordpress.com,typepad.com,blogspot.com.

Hosted option is very valid choices for beginners and for those who are not concerned that much about having all the bells and whistles of a standalone platform.
